BENTHIC TAXONOMIST

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Benthis Taxonomist to joina thriving marine consultancy. in Hampshire.

You will join a team of specialists who are experts in the processing of samples and the identification of infaunal and epifaunal communities in estuarine and marine waters around the UK and overseas.

The ideal candidate will have at least a degree level in marine biology or related discipline, or alternatively, have achieved their taxonomic experience through working within this field. Experience in the identification of marine invertebrates from UK waters, is essential.

Responsibilities will include sample processing, faunal identification, data entry and possibly staff training. Primarily be laboratory based, however, there are opportunities for fieldwork in support of the ecological survey team.

Salary is negotiable depending on an experience, and a range of benefits available.
