A rare, high profile graduate opportunity has emerged with one of the largest international consultancies to work from their office in the West Midlands. The successful candidate will be ambitious to gain chartered status and be helped with this by our client. Their Tunnelling Group is currently working on a variety of projects within the UK and overseas and is looking to increase its core UK based team - a graduate is required to work within a team of engineers on a variety of tunnelling projects.The role will include important responsibilities including managing client expectations, documenting technical and project related material, becoming familiar with internal systems and procedures, identifying and resolving problems and working closely with other members of the team. The role is also responsible for identifying opportunities to expand the existing business through client managers to build a broad and influential network through effective communication.The jobholder will, in time, be required to lead small projects or elements of larger projects and provide support and advice to other members of design teams. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will develop their role within the expanding tunnelling team, accumulating experience and responsibility with a view to leading design teams in future projectsMinimum Requirements: The successful candidate must have a minimum qualification of BEng (preferably MEng) in Civil Engineering or Civil & Structural Engineering with some evidence of tunnelling knowledge.
