The team develops and oversees the implementation of the Groups Environmental Action Plan. This involves developing procedures and policy which reduce the impact of the company's operations, developing guidance and tools for enhancing their footprint through investment, innovation and green alternatives, identifying solutions which mitigate risk. This role focuses on the delivery of an integrated strategy with all operational departments across the group. You will be responsible for developing integrated design solutions, assessment of innovation and new technology and specialist guidance to deliver environmental leadership in water management. The main aim of this role is to
Provide an expert resource to the business in terms of all matters related to water management, impact reduction and communication
Develop strong relationships with all Group Property Business Units in order to drive and deliver environment and sustainability improvements with the aim to embed sustainability into the portfolio and operations
Deliver enhancement in environmental efficiency and risk mitigation (e.g. flood risk) of the portfolio and operations,
Evaluate and benchmark solutions and initiatives,
Set targets for reduction of the key impacts (both positive and negative),
Establish an evaluation mechanism for initiatives and projects which can be incorporated into the banks business case assessment process,
Develop and implement communication with the Regional and Country Environmental Coordinators ensuring that these plans fit with the priorities of the business,
Technical Knowledge: Broad understanding of water and climate change issues, relating to supply and availability, risk management and contingency plans which support the development of a low carbon economy,
Detailed knowledge of environmental and sustainable design innovation,If you have the necessary experience, we want to hear from you as soon as possible.
