The client, a large national employer concerned with protecting and improving the environment in England and Wales are currently seeking to recruit a Coastal Engineer to work within the area of Flood Risk to join their teams in Leeds and York.

This position will involve providing expert technical guidance and specialist engineering advice on coastal asset system management for the area by:

Using specialist coastal knowledge to develop and manage a programme of work in Asset System Management that contributes to the delivery of local and national targets.
Providing expert advice and guidance to Local Authorities on coastal asset management
Delivering coastal Asset System Management Plans to ensure that the most efficient and sustainable long-term investment solutions are pursued.
Leading on delivery of coastal strategies and schemes resulting from fluvial and coastal plans.

Suitable candidates will have:

Excellent knowledge of coastal processes
Experience of delivering a technical and professional service
Experience and a good understanding of asset management systems and best practise.
