The role is for a Chartered Civil Engineer to be based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow, the role would suit someone looking to develop their project management and client contact skills on a variety of different projects.

The role will be to act as Project Manager on a wide variety of projects mostly maritime related but also other civil and structural engineering projects.

Key responsibilities are as follows:-
Oversee and participate in the production of engineering design calculations, engineering design drawings and engineering reports.
Oversee and contribute to the production of technical, commercial and contractual documents for procurement of engineering projects.
Contribute to the development of the client base within the office through the production of proposals and interaction with clients.
Participate in the development of new and existing client bases within the office.
Provision of advice and expertise to more junior staff within the office.

Your qualifications and experience
You will be a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with experience in a relevant field. You must also have full membership of MICE or MIStructE and with a minimum BEng in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering. You must have a sound technical background in civil or structural engineering preferably on waters edge projects. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with other project team members, external organisations, and client representatives are also essential.
