An immediate opening exists for a junior environmental monitoring assistant. The role is predominantly site based and will involve sampling and monitoring of soil and groundwater at a refinery site. The successful candidate will also be expected to represent the company in overseeing a contractor who is hired by the client.

Responsibilities include ensuring the contractor is performing field activities in accordance with the technical specifications and HSE requirements. The project includes the following tasks:
• Monitoring and recovery well installation (experience in this area is very important)
• Soil and groundwater sampling (experience in this area is very important)
• Slug and baildown field testing
• Trenching/excavation
• Piping installation
• Remediation system installation

Fluent English skills are essential, as is previous experience of site HSE requirements working in a refinery. Applicants must hold a college degree, ideally in civil or environmental engineering/science.

The full compensation package will be 100,000AED per year.
