As the Innovations Manager you will ensure you exploit to maximum benefit from our clients Innovations and Insights activity. Key to the role will be; Liaising with and providing colleagues on Northern Ireland-specific needs and market intelligence in order to ensure support systems are appropriate.
Feeding into business development and commercial activity, ideas generation and evaluation to represent the Northern Ireland perspective.
Working with Northern Ireland based innovators and companies to scope out and develop a strong pipeline of high quality applications into our R&D and Incubation programmes.
Working to maximise the impact of our clients organisation supporting low carbon innovation activities on the Northern Ireland economy.
Managing discrete projects including leading procurement processes, inputting to assessment processes, negotiating appropriate (commercial) frameworks, and then driving resulting projects forward.
Developing and delivering technology, policy and commercial insights and communicating these to Northern Ireland based stakeholders, sector players, policy makers etc.The successful candidate will be degree educated in a relevant science or engineering discipline ideally with a higher degree based on research. Possess a substantive track record in technology development (wind, tidal, wave or biomass) or business/strategy consulting, including working closely with senior management with experience in developing commercialisation plans for new products or new markets.
