Power Generation Senior Electrical Engineer

One of the largest providers of energy consultancy and engineering support services in the UK is looking for a qualified Senior Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic team.You will undertake engineering design and project management roles a for power transmission utilities in the UK and overseas.
Your ability to see the "bigger picture" allows you to demonstrate your confidence and authoritative approach in lead design. Your communication both written and verbal will be outstanding and you will be focused in proving your clients with the highest quality deliverables even when timescales are tight. You will be a good team player but be just as happy in working alone. You will be confident in supervising and mentoring junior design engineers. You will be competent in all Microsoft Office applications, ideally with the aptitude to learn sophisticated computer aided design and analysis software. To apply for this post you will have a Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Chartered Engineer (or close to achieving chartered status in the near future). You will also have experience in Transmission Network project. Which has been gained within a client organisation, engineering consultancy or equipment supplier.You will also need to have experience in one of more of the following areas:Transmission (275/400kV) electrical plant and configuration design, Transmission level protection and control design, Network planning and project development, Project management of EHV substation construction, Site management of HV substation construction, Overhead Line construction design and Overhead Line construction project management.Flexibility is a must in this role as you will be required to travel to different offices and sites within the UK and overseas. So you will need a full driving licence.
