A leading investment banking group deeply involved in the low carbon economy is actively seeking a Director of investments for their Beijing office.

The Director of Investments will be responsible for:

Assisting the Head of Investments in China to manage all aspects of investment activities.
The execution, due diligence and closing of low carbon projects in China and Asia.
Quality control for all IC memos/presentations.
Managing day-to-day operation/resources of the renewable energy investment teams.
Supervising and co-ordinating all financial modeling and analysis for low carbon projects.
Assisting the Head of Investments to manage/exit investment assets.
Preparing regular investment reports.

Key competencies and qualifications include:

Extensive investment banking, asset management or investment experience for energy projects.
Strong leadership in the execution of transactions.
The ability to establish credibility and represent the organisation with external parties including clients and investors.
A proven track-record of identifying market opportunities ion Asia and mobilising teams to take advantage of them.
Strong decision-making, problem solving, financial and analytical skills.
Ability to prioritise effectively and multi-task in a highly pressured environment.
Fluent and confident in both Chinese and English.
The ability to communicate and negotiate with external parties in both languages.
Experience in Asia and especially China demonstrating a strong cultural awareness.
