World renowned international engineering consultancy has an immediate vacancy for a senior, experienced buildings sustainability consultant in their Dubai office.

The successful candidate will manage and carry out sustainability strategies and building appraisals for projects throughout the construction life cycle with particular emphasis on the planning stage. The ideal candidate will have experience in undertaking LEED assessments, as well as experience in managing and delivering one or more of the following appraisal methods; BREEAM/Codes or CEEQUAL.

You will ideally have a working knowledge of the Middle East, in particular Dubai and the wider UAE but this is not essential. There will be an interface with existing teams of Master planners, Designers, M&E, and Buildings Services engineers, across the rest of the organisation.

A knowledge of and interest in international developments in environment /sustainable development standards and policy is important and an ability to conduct research and analysis to support both policy and technical work. There is also a business development aspect to this role and you will need to prepare and write proposals and marketing material.

You will be educated to degree level in a specialist environmental discipline and also have proven experience working on sustainability strategies/Appraisals/LEED / Green Star / EcoHomes & BREEAM projects in a consultancy setting. Knowledge of the planning system would also be desirable.
