Our client, a leader in the field of Engineering, Environmental and Infrastructure services, who operate across the globe is looking for a Senior Health & Safety Advisor to be based from their Bristol office.

The position involves management and coordination of HSE within the environmental group of our client's European operations which operate across offices in Bristol, Leeds, Stirling, London and Madrid (although ideally Bristol based there is potential for flexibility to use one of these alternative offices as a base).

Reporting to the Managing Director of our client's Environmental Group, as well as to the European Health & Safety Manager, your responsibilities will include;

• Maintenance of Health and Safety policy documents
• Provide internal training courses (workshops) and arrange external training as required
• Regular inspections of site investigation works
• Review HSSE plans before authorisation for use
• Investigate major incidents and significant near misses and produce reports
• Review all approved supplier questionnaires
• Audit approved suppliers (visit premises, check management systems)
• Advise on HSSE queries as required
• Provide HSSE support for office operations

Candidates should be NEBOSH qualified, ideally to Diploma level and have experience working to CDM2007. Due to the extensive geographical remit for this role you must have a valid driving licence and a willingness to travel. Excellent communication skills and a background within the Engineering and Environmental sector is essential.
