They provide expert consultancy on building projects in the UK and globally. Their work involves advising on the sustainable construction and operation of buildings, renewable energy analysis, sustainable materials, BREEAM and Code For Sustainable Homes assessments and Part L modelling.

This role on offer will initially involve the production of Code for Sustainable Homes assessments developing strategies with the design team to meet CSH standards leading to final assessment. The applicant should be an accredited Code for Sustainable Homes Assessor. There will, in due course, be opportunities to become involved in the wider work of the team, including the provision of technical advice for design strategies, co-coordinating input from relevant disciplines, including:

• Advising on low energy design and thermal modelling
• Daylight modelling and the assessment of energy efficient lighting schemes
• Feasibility of the integration of renewables into schemes
• Feasibility of combined heat & power and district heating
• Water saving measures including recycling and harvesting strategies


The skills required:

1st Degree and/or MSc in building design subject an advantage
