Our clients' are looking for a Chartered Transport Modeller/Engineer to help develop the transport modelling capability in Yorkshire and across the north and east of England with other offices (Sheffield, Newcastle, Altrincham, Liverpool and Norwich).

The responsibilities for the successful candidate will include:

· Supporting a wide range of public and private sector clients

· Helping to build the transport modelling capability

· Building on an existing team and workload.

· Wide range of development work including UK and overseas projects

· Major studies and infrastructure projects.

· Supporting LA frameworks and private sector clients

· Mentoring graduates within the Transport Planning team

· Involvement in building a transport modelling work in Yorkshire and the north and east of England

· Liaising with colleagues in other offices nationwide

The successful candidate will possess:

· Degree qualification or equivalent (preferably an MSc)

· Experience of a range of Transport Planning solutions for both public and private sectors

· Sound technical experience, including knowledge of relevant software e.g. TRANSYT, ARCADY, VISSIM,

· Experience working in or with a multi-disciplinary design consultancy

· Capability to work to deadlines and work autonomously when required

· The ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of staff and clients (both written and orally)
