A young and growing engineering consultancy that has firmly committed itself to becoming one of the UK’s leading providers of energy management, project management and design solutions for manufacturing, process and public utilities companies, requires an Electrical Power Engineer to join their team. You will need to be confident with, and have experience in, electrical power systems up to 11kV. This is a hands-on role and you will be expected to develop solutions and present these to the client by both written reports and presentations before engineering the agreed designs into construction.
You will be working as part of a small electrical and controls engineering team under the guidance of the senior engineers and will be predominantly office based but working at clients sites in UK and overseas as necessary. Ideally, you will come from either a project engineering or design office background and have industrial electrical engineering experience (not building services), with a qualification in an engineering discipline either to HNC or degree level. You will also have experience of the following:• Electrical distribution systems 415V to 11kV
• Motor control systems and Circuits (DOL, S/D, S/S, Variable Speed), drives up to 11kV
• Industrial electrical installation methods
• Protection studies
• MV protection schemes
• Generation systems
