Principal Consultant - Water Quality (Freshwater Biology Consultancy)

Allen & York are excited to be working with a leading global environmental consultancy, supporting clients and regulators across the world to mitigate environmental impacts.

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Principal Consultant to join the Freshwater Biology Consultancy. The team has a varied remit, providing water and sediment quality monitoring, analysis and interpretation services for all environments including rivers, lakes, canals and reservoirs.

The successful candidate, together with their team, will be responsible for winning and delivering projects across the whole range of water quality services.

You'll need to hold a BSc or MSc degree in a relevant subject, with extensive experience in environmental water quality work. You'll be able to demonstrate your knowledge of water and sediment quality assessment and management and have a solid understanding of key UK environmental legislation. A proven leader, you will be skilled in managing teams of Consultants and Senior Consultants working to produce timely, accurate and high-quality tenders and reports. An excellent communicator, you'll thrive working collaboratively as part of the senior management team.

Statistical analysis and/or water quality modelling capability, including large and complex environmental data sets would be advantageous to this role.

You are required to hold a valid driving licence.
