Allen & York are delighted to be working with one of the leading certification and verification bodies as they look to recruit a Senior Sustainability Consultant to join their Team of professionals and work with a range of clients across various sectors on a number of sustainability issues. You will be offering consulting services including materiality assessments, sustainability assurance, reporting against various frameworks and looking at supply chain, modern slavery, etc.
As such, you'll most likely be working as a Sustainability Consultant currently within a boutique sustainability consultancy or larger multidisciplinary consultancy, but you may be in a corporate setting, looking for more variety in terms of the clients you work with and the range of issues you cover, so you're also welcome to apply.
You'll have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), sound project management skills and you'll be able to prioritise tasks and to delegate tasks to more junior consultants. Any experience of managing or mentoring consultants would be advantageous, as would experience of senior client engagement and management. In addition, exposure to business development would be beneficial as you'll be responsible for preparing and presenting proposals to secure projects.
Based in London, my client does offer hybrid working however you will be required to be in the office for a few days a week so you'll be accessible to East London (there are excellent transport links) and happy to travel to client meetings as well.
