Compliance Administrator - Water

West Midlands

Role objective

Support the efficient operation of the Strategy and Regulation teams through effective management of administrative and project processes.

Key accountabilities

  • Manage post received (in both electronic and hard formats) and track responses via letter log. Manage the STW consultation process through identifying, logging and issuing consultation documents and co-ordinating STW response.
  • Undertake procurement activities for the team including - raising purchase orders, receipting, chasing invoicing and tracking expenditure.
  • Provide support to the Risk co-ordinator through updating new risk system.
  • Role of Health & Safety co-ordinator for the team updating comms cell with H&S updates, maintain office safety rota, update team Safety Improvement Plans, maintain PPE log. Information Management co-ordinator for the team management of shared files (DFS co-ordinator) and team storage (on site and off site in archives).
  • Provides support on team events as required oversee venue arrangements, travel, accommodation, catering, production of supporting material. Coordinate and manage the print production and distribution of meeting papers and reports to teams and the Executive as required.
  • Arrange meetings (including booking of appropriate meeting rooms and/or external venues and manage visitors) as required. Secretarial support the team via the production and amendment/finalisation of Word, PowerPoint and Excel documents. Provide cover and support to other team members.


  • In order to succeed in this role it is expected that you will have:
  • Essential: Secretarial skills including a good working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel and Microsoft Outlook packages. Familiarity with STW finance processes particularly purchasing systems (SAP) Experience of working in project environment use of Visio & Project Understanding of key activities undertaken by teams.
  • Desirable: Experience of our risk system Understanding of our H&S processes An understanding of the operation of Lotus Notes (for shared mailboxes)
  • Experience of our accrual process Knowledge of Regulatory framework
