An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an experienced ecological consultancy in the South West. Our client is seeking to employ an experienced and licensed bat surveyor to help provide support during our busy bat survey season. Surveys will be undertaken throughout the UK, but predominately in the South West area and will involve some unsociable hours. The surveys will include emergence and swarming surveys, as well as bat activity surveys.
A minimum of three years' experience is required as well as full membership of CIEEM.
The successful applicant will hold a Natural England (or equivalent) Class 2 Bat Handling Licence and must have either project management experience or organisational, small budget management and client liaison ability, with a willingness to gain experience in project management.
The successful applicant will be expected to act as a lead ecologist on projects and to manage small to medium projects they will also hold a full driving licence and have use of their own vehicle.
The Salary is negotiable dependant on level of experience.
