Allen & York are currently looking to recruit an experienced commercially-savvy Environmental professional to play a key role in leading the external facing business development activities of an international environmental, waste and water services provider working across the Middle East.

Your responsibility:
The Sales & Business Development Manager (SBDM) will be overall responsible for project related sales activities, development of new business services as well as client relations.
The SBDM reports to the Regional Director for Environment.

Main tasks include, but are not limited to:
o Implement the Business Development Strategy
o Obtain business/market intelligence including preparation of e.g. feasibility, market and competitor analysis.
o Lead the development of sales acquisition material e.g. presentations, capability statements, references
o Develop new and maintain existing client relations within the oil & gas, mining and manufacturing industry.
o Identify tender opportunities and coordinate tender preparation/submissions with the Tender Manager incl. bid strategy, attend site visits, identification of project partners.
o Lead and motivate an Outreach Officer which partially will support the SBDM in day-to-day sales & business development related activities.
o Internal sales forecasting, controlling & reporting to top management and shareholders

o Minimum a master degree in environmental science / engineering with a strong knowledge in hazardous waste management, remediation of contaminated sites, industrial and domestic wastewater treatment.
o 5-10 years of international work experience within the sector, preferably within the Middle-East.
o Proven results in project related sales as contractor or consultant.
o Proactive and outgoing personal skill-set to build and maintain relationships with clients, business partners and internal/external stakeholders.
o Willingness and ability to travel within the Middle-East.
