My client is an ambitious and forward thinking land engineering consultancy with offices across the South of the country. We are searching for an entrepreneurial GeoEnvironmental professional to capitalise on a healthy orders book, and open up a new regional office in the North London/Hertfordshire area.
As a general requirement, all engineers within the organisation are expected to have a solid basis of geoenvironmental consultancy experience, having worked with either large multidiscipline consultancies or specialist firms in the past, ideally in the South East. The role can be tailored to your specific skillset, for example, an office can be set up and run to focus on Geotechnics, site investigation or complex remediation projects, depending on your background. You will have a strong track record winning and completing work independently, and supervising a small team and managing workflow.
Duties:
Assist in business development, scope and cost projects;
Build strong client relationships;
Communicate effectively with clients, sub-contractors, and other staff;
Project manage Site Investigations and Remediation Projects;
Compile Desk Studies, Factual and Interpretative reports;
Mentor and train junior staff.
Skills:
Working and detailed knowledge of relevant National and EU codes and guidance;
Ability to develop and lead a small team;
Previous experience in a UK multidisciplinary environment where geotechnical issues are being considered alongside contamination issues.
