Our client, a multi-disciplinary consultancy who provide sustainable solutions to a number of industries, are expanding and they need a Senior/Principal Infrastructure Engineer to play a key role in their highways and infrastructure design team.
In this role you will have excellent opportunities to progress your career as well as the chance to contribute to a variety of retail, commercial and residential developments for public and private sector clients. You will support the Associate/Technical Director by effectively delivering projects on time and to the highest technical performance standards.
You will support your team across all aspects of the projects, including communications and consultations with other colleagues within the company as well as with external bodies such as Local Authorities and Statutory Undertakers.
Educated to degree level or equivalent in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 5 years post graduate specific engineering experience, alternatively HNC/HND or equivalent qualifications with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
Ability to use various engineering software packages, including AutoCAD, PDS, Civil3D, and Microsoft Office is desirable.
Experience in the design of highways, and associated works in residential, commercial and industrial developments from conception to technical approval.
The ability to use WinDes would be advantageous, as is being able to carry out drainage design and modelling.
Experience of working with clients and regulatory/statutory authorities to deliver detailed designs for Section 38 and 278 Agreements.
Experience of delivering value engineered plot design, including retaining walls, underbuild, private drainage and finished floor levels would be advantageous.
Understanding of codes and standards such as the DMRB/MCHW, Sewers for Adoption 7th Edition and Manual for Streets.
Ability to work to deadlines, within budget and to programme, to control costs and to effectively manage resources and change control.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to generate and technically review reports.
