Our client is a world leading waste re-processor who are developing new and innovative technologies to help reduce use of landfill and create a carbon neutral environment.

This is a brand new hands on role in this exciting period of development for the company and they are building a new facility to accommodate continuous growth and customer demand. Production is scheduled for start-up in Q4 this year and therefore need to have the necessary work force in place prior to this date.

Reporting to the Site Manager, the jobholder is responsible for leading a small production team and appropriate contractors and suppliers, to deliver the safe and efficient operation of the manufacturing plant.

Ensuring your team comply with all legal and operational requirements as detailed within the manuals, systems and permits, whilst achieving the production volume and quality targets.

Activities include carrying out daily, weekly and monthly checks as detailed in the site operating, cleaning and maintenance procedures. To plan and manage the team efficiently to ensure continuous operation, with proactive identification potential breakdowns of the plant and equipment. Undertake repairs with the maintenance team and liaise with other Team Leaders.

It is likely candidates will come from an aggregates, concrete or waste (Efw) environment.
Candidates will be able to promote motivation within a team, assist with Health & Safety and contractors and manage the team and site when required.

You should be able to demonstrate supervisory experience in a production/manufacturing environment and be a good communicator able to work with managers, contractors and site workers as required.

This is a hands on role and candidates should hold appropriate plant operating certificates with knowledge of waste or aggregates ideally.

The role will based on a 37.5 hour week and will be on a split shift arrangement but candidates should be flexible within the requirements of the site which is operating 24/7.
