Allen & York Successfully Recruit a Construction Safety Manager for RWE NPower
Client/Role Profile
RWE NPower is a leading UK energy company and part of the international RWE Group. Its retail brand, NPower is one of the UK’s largest energy suppliers, with around 6 million customers and operating approximately 8,000MW of low cost coal (three of the UK’s largest coal-fired power stations), oil & gas fired power stations, plus wind, hydro and cogeneration plants.
RWE Group are also leaders in the search for viable, renewable power sources and have developed the UK’s first major offshore wind farm in North Hoyle, North Wales.
RWE NPower’s Director of Projects and Head of Health & Safety approached Allen & York’s specialist Health & Safety recruitment team to source a suitable candidate for a new role; Construction Safety Manager to head-up Health and Safety for all Construction Operations within the Generation and Renewables division.
The Service
Following an in-depth meeting to scope the exact requirements of this highly skilled and specialised role, it was agreed that Allen & York should conduct an Executive Search for RWE NPower, this process involved a pro-active search to assess the most suitable Senior Health & Safety Professionals across the UK’s construction industry, whereupon Allen & York presented the vacancy direct to all relevant candidates in the market place.
