Allen & York commit to support local community projects, by volunteering 1% of our time to help with charitable activities.
Recently we volunteered to paint two Children's Centres in our local community in Dorset.
Rossmore and Turlin Moor Children’s Centres serve an area which is one of the 30% most deprived in England. The area has high levels of unemployment and poverty, and around 900 under 5s live in the area.
The centres offer free support for children under 5, preparing them for school and offering support and advice to parents.
"Thank you so much for your time, effort and skill in re-vitalising our 2 centres – they look fabulous!! Everyone was so jolly and friendly we really enjoyed your company." Amanda Brown |Parenting Aspirations and Skills Lead
We had a brilliant time too, it was hugely rewarding and we were quite chuffed with our painting!! Here are some more photos.
