IOSH is to appoint a new publisher for its official magazine.
The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) is the only chartered body for health and safety professionals in the world, with 44,000 individual members in over 120 countries and it's magazine the Safety and Health Practitioner (SHP) has been at the forefront of health and safety information and news for over 30 years.
February 2016 will however, bring to an end IOSH’s contract with UBM to publish SHP and they will move to new publishers LexisNexis and a new editor, Louis Wustemann. Louis has almost 30 years' experience writing for occupational health and safety, facilities, environment and human resources professionals. He has edited Health and Safety at Work (HSW) magazine for 10 years and managed the re-launch of The Environmentalist, for the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA). He was also previously editor of the journal Environment in Business.
IOSH CEO Jan Chmiel said: “IOSH is committed to providing the very best magazine for its members – a publication that is informative, relevant and aspirational. We want it to be the foremost title in a competitive market for health and safety.
