Planning consent has been given for a new employment hub in the East Riding of Yorkshire which is set to create up to 3,000 new jobs.
Developers Sterling Capitol and the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), have received approval for a large-scale employment and distribution hub in Goole, and other members of the consultation team include Indigo Planning, Ecology Solutions, WYG (transport) and Aecom (flood risk assessment).
Together, Goole36 (96.4 acres) and Capitol Park (32 acres) will include a mix of employment uses, leisure facilities and car showrooms, plus a 100-bed hotel.
The site sits within the Humber Enterprise Zone with potential for a dedicated rail link.
Mike Heydecke, on behalf of Sterling Capitol, commented in the York Press; "As a company, we are extremely proud of what we have achieved in Yorkshire. Job creation is at the heart of our plans and we have developed some of the most impressive business parks in Yorkshire, with an excellent mix of tenants and facilities. Premier business locations, like our Capitol Parks at Goole, Leeds and Barnsley remain popular in a testing economic climate.”
