The first ever BOMO festival will be held in Bournemouth this Autumn, celebrating the growth of the digital technologies hub in the city.
Bournemouth is the second fastest growth area in the UK for start-ups, with a 20 percent year-on-year increase recorded at the end of the first quarter, many of which are new entrepreneurial companies across the technology sector.
BOMO Festival brings together a series of thought leadership conferences in technology and creative media, featuring; software conference Re-Develop (12 Oct), UX Insider (16 Oct) dedicated to the online user experience, and Digital Wave (2 Oct ) which is aimed at educating young people about the digital industry.
As well as the incredibly popular BFX festival, now in its 6th year, which attracts some of the best and brightest visual effects artists from around the world to come and showcase and discuss the latest in visual effects, animation and gaming.
The event is a collaboration between local creatives, CEOs and Bournemouth Borough Council, and will educate, inform and entertain through an exciting programme of workshops, conference and events kicking off which the launch event on 27 September.
