Responsible for measuring greenhouse gas emissions, supporting carbon footprinting exercises and assisting in the development of net zero and decarbonisation strategies.

Typical salary: £35,000 – £50,000 | 0–3 years’ experience

Carbon Consultant / Net Zero Consultant

Leads carbon assessments, develops decarbonisation roadmaps and supports clients in implementing net zero strategies across operations and supply chains.

Typical salary: £50,000 – £70,000 | 4–7 years’ experience

Senior Carbon Consultant / Net Zero Strategy Lead

Oversees complex carbon and climate projects, advises senior stakeholders and develops organisation-wide net zero strategies and reporting frameworks.

Typical salary: £70,000 – £90,000 | 7–12 years’ experience

Head of Carbon / Net Zero Director

Provides strategic leadership across carbon and net zero functions, shaping climate strategy, driving organisational decarbonisation and leading large-scale sustainability programmes.
