Eurostar is a high-speed passenger rail service connecting London with Paris and Brussels. All its trains cross under the English Channel via the Channel Tunnel between Britain and France, owned and operated separately by Eurotunnel.

Since their launch in 1994 they have doubled the amount of visitors crossing the channel, and today with connections, they link London with over 100 cities across Europe.

In 2009 Eurostar were awarded 2 environmental awards; institute of travel management’s ICARUS 2009 Environmental award and The Sunday Times Best Green Companies award. These are credentials Eurostar are keen to retain and as such chose ALLEN & YORK as a leader in sustainability recruitment, to recruit an Energy Manager.

After taking a detailed brief from the HR Director at Eurostar we decided the most effective approach would be a contingency search, using a combination of our vast database and worldwide network of leading energy management professionals.
