ALLEN & YORK Successfully Recruit for London Gatwick Airport

The Role

Gatwick’s HR Business Partner approached ALLEN & YORK's Health and Safety team with the assignment to source a Head of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) for the entire Gatwick Airport site. 

Gatwick were looking for an individual to develop and implement an HSE management system to a world class standard, across their multi-faceted organisation. This was a diverse and challenging position, reporting directly to the COO, which demanded a highly qualified individual who brought both weight of experience, as well as exemplary people management skills to the role.  

The position included a high level of responsibility and accountability; as such the Gatwick Directors were looking for an individual capable of communicating with their multiple stakeholders involved with the day-to-day operations, as well as those working on new developments within the airport.  Skills were required to work closely with the operations team, coupled with a strong drive to achieve business objectives. 

The Service

The ALLEN & YORK Health and Safety team assigned senior consultants to work on the recruitment assignment and after taking a thorough brief, recommended an in-depth UK search.
