Their flagship site is a forty-acre EcoPark in Edmonton, which includes recycling, composting, waste transfer and energy centres.

Their regulated facilities are integral to London’s resource-economy; recovering energy from waste — enough to power more than 80,000 homes and businesses in North London, and in doing so, divert more than 698,000  tonnes of waste away from landfill each year, saving approx. 300,000† tonnes of CO2e each year.

ALLEN & YORK’s Waste & Recycling Recruitment team specialise in sourcing high calibre talent across; waste management, sales, planning and engineering within; recycling, AD & Biogas,  Energy from Waste (EfW) and other related waste sectors.

The requirement to hire an Operations Controller was an urgent and key recruit for London Energy, and they were looking for a fast turn-around.

Our recruitment team have a fantastic network of ready screened candidates and an additional database of over 200,000 candidates to search.  The team was therefore able to hit the ground running and send a comprehensive shortlist through to the London Energy hiring team in a matter of days.

At ALLEN & YORK we will always tailor our approach to match each recruitment assignment and take the time to listen to the exact requirement.  Taking time at the beginning speeds up the process in the long-run and ensures excellent candidate matching.

With this approach we were able to present expertly sourced candidates, arrange interviews within an extremely tight timeframe and manage the offer and on-boarding stages in an effective and efficient manner.

As such the ALLEN & YORK Waste & Recycling team delivered a great service and London Energy were delighted with the results;

“ALLEN & YORK responded particularly well to a recruitment need which arose at short notice.  They quickly understood our needs and provided us with good calibre candidates to interview. Within 7 days we had interviewed and appointed the person we wanted.  We were very happy with their support.” Human Resources Officer at London Energy
