Geotechnical Engineering

Geotechnical Engineering is the science that explains the mechanics of soil and rock and it’s applications to human development.

It includes, without being limited to, the analysis, design and construction of slopes, tunnels, foundations, retaining structures, embankments, roads and other systems that are made of or are supported by soil or rock.

A typical geotechnical report will include detailed exploratory logs and the results of in-situ and laboratory testing. The information is used to develop recommendations and design parameters for foundation and construction purposes.

ALLEN & YORK have been recruiting across Geotechnical Engineering for over 25 years and have an unrivalled wealth of experience in this sector.
