Energy Manager

Responsible for monitoring energy usage, identifying efficiency improvements and implementing energy reduction initiatives across buildings, estates and operational sites.

Typical salary: £40,000 – £60,000 | 0–3 years’ experience

Senior Energy Manager

Leads energy efficiency programmes, manages energy performance across multiple sites and develops strategies to reduce carbon emissions and operational energy use.

Typical salary: £60,000 – £80,000 | 4–7 years’ experience

Lead Energy Manager / Energy Management Lead

Oversees energy strategy and performance across large organisations, ensuring compliance, driving efficiency improvements and managing energy data and reporting frameworks.

Typical salary: £80,000 – £100,000 | 7–12 years’ experience

Head of Energy Management / Energy Director

Provides strategic leadership across energy functions, shaping long term energy strategy, driving decarbonisation initiatives and overseeing organisational energy performance.

Typical salary: £100,000 – £130,000+ | 12+ years’ experience
