Allen & York are working closely with a leading provider of testing, inspection and compliance services, who operate within the infrastructure, energy and environment and safety sectors.
The department of environmental chemistry are looking to expand their existing division within energy and waste therefore are recruiting for an Account Manager to join the team. The role will be based at their offices in Burton upon Trent.
The role of Account Manager is to implement, development and maintain strong working rapport, not only externally with key clients but also internally within the business and technical experts. You will be working very closely with other departments including lab staff and team managers.
As an Account Manager, you will work closely with your team, ensuring all client and business needs are managed to the highest of efficiency and quality. The day to day of the role will include liaising with clients, managing client requests and advising on technical issues via the technical experts. You will be managing the clients work through the lab from the initial sales handover to after-sales service; ensuring work is delivered in a timely manner and client satisfaction is maintained throughout.
As an Account Manager, you will also be responsible for internal communications, prioritising work, working closely with the sales team sharing important information, ensuring the smooth transition of new accounts. Furthermore, you will be attending contract review meetings with clients to discuss any issues, developments or improvements on the accounts.
The ideal candidate will come from some sort of a science background, even if it is a-level standard this is important. It is important for the successful candidate to understand scientific units and test names. Furthermore, customer service experience will also be essential for this role.
Starting salary is £20,000pa.
