We are engaged with a sustainability consultancy who work with large global corporate businesses as well as SMEs, helping businesses to reduce their environmental impact. They partner with organisations to design, build and operate intelligent sustainability solutions to address individual business challenges, helping organisations to compete and prosper in a low-carbon world.
They are seeking to appoint an Accounts Assistant to work closely with the Finance Director, currently this function is outsourced and the long-term plan is to bring this in-house. The role will predominantly be based around bookkeeping and accounts duties.
Furthermore, as the business has recently integrated with a larger group, there will be some projects relating to financial integration which you will be involved in assisting. This is likely to include providing improvements to internal ERP systems and data migration. You will be responsible for providing day-to-day accounts support working within a team environment collaborating with internal employees as well as clients.
The ideal candidate must have great interpersonal skills, ability to work within a dynamic team environment. You must have good numeric and analytical skills - there will be an in-house excel and accountancy test.
Typical duties include:
- Managing arrears
- Credit control
- Reconciling bank and credit statements
- Producing reports for senior management
- Assisting with monthly financial reporting
- Supporting the FD on an ad hoc basis
- Processing payroll
- Process all new starters and leavers on payroll
- Deal with payroll queries
- Monthly expenses
- Assist on integration related projects
- Xero certified or strong knowledge
- AAT Level 4 or equivalent
- Strong Excel skils
- Pivot tables
- PAYE Experience
