Bid Manager - Bristol / Litchfield / home-based
Are you a Passionate Bid Manager who wants to work for the largest independently owned multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy in the UK?
This is your chance to join their new and exciting division, providing practical ecological contracting solutions for clients. You will be part of a team who will provide results-based outcomes for clients and biodiversity, with innovation at the heart of everything that you do.
You will be joining a team of professionals who work closely with colleagues in other disciplines such as Ecology, Landscape and Arboriculture.
As Bid Manager, you will be a natural work-winner and who has a positive and professional attitude, Ideally you will be Bristol-based although home working will be considered for the right candidate as long as you are happy to commute into Bristol for team/ client meeting etc.
You will have relevant industrial experience, and will have a significant understanding of the practical, commercial, financial, technical and qualitative requirements within the industry. It is expected you will be proficient in producing accurate and competitive bids, also you must have the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.
As the ideal candidate you will have previous knowledge of working within one or more of the following sectors: ecological contracting, landscaping, agricultural, countryside management or vegetation clearance industries, you may even have at least 2 years' experience as an Estimator or experience working in a similar role.
To be successful in your application you need to have demonstrable work history of successfully bidding for and winning work.
Location is flexible, but there will be a need for the successful candidate to attend regular meetings at both Avonmouth and Litchfield bases. Ideally you will be educated to degree level with experience of tendering, preferably in an Ecology/Landscape related discipline, of course you will have excellent literacy skills, with a good command of the English language, including written and verbal communication. You will utilise your outstanding organisational skills and ability, to manage a large volume of information and documents.
Previous, demonstrable experience in pricing and estimating projects from plans, drawings, specifications and site visits will be an advantage to you, as will holding a CSCS card and Full driving licence.
