An exciting opportunity for a passionate Client Services Facilities Manager to join the team located in Reading for a leading FM service provider.


Role Summary & Responsibilities:


The successful candidate will support the Operations Lead and to be responsible for delivery of soft and hard services

  • Maintain delivery of site FM services in line with specified contract defined SLA/KPI’s
  • Management of site FM services and suppliers for reception, cleaning, waste, pest control, audio visual, mail, landscaping
  • Manage site suppliers and provide timely resolution to service issues as they arise
  • Provide day to day office support to the local client as agreed with the Operations Lead
  • Ensure seamless close out of day-to-day issues and provide emergency call-out to co-ordinate M&E problem resolution
  • Ensure all FM equipment is serviced, maintained and operated in a safe manner
  • Multi-site involvement and management, including travel
  • Lead and manage the teams responsible for all aspects of service delivery and strive to exceed internal and external customer expectations at every opportunity
  • Ensure exceptional Front of House service delivery and customer experience to Microsoft customers and staff members
  • Recruit, motivate, develop and retain high quality staff
  • Provide accurate and timely reports to the Operations Lead – monthly; lessons learned; EHS; Finance
  • Ensure required site Environmental, Health & Safety practices are completed and deployed locally
  • Support all local client emergency prevention and operational controls including timely reporting of all site accidents, occupational illnesses and emergencies
  • Support the co-ordination and testing of Business Continuity Planning for the site
  • Manage implementation and maintenance of EHS and Quality to provide a safe and professional service
  • Manage delivery of all services within the budget
  • Work with finance team to control invoicing and reconciliations
  • Provide financial support to local client as and when required
  • Responsible for coordinating elements of a site business plan
  • Responsibility for some budgets at site level
  • Ensure customer satisfaction is established and maintained by providing a quality and pro-active service
  • Support and communicate with clients, customer base with your area of responsibility and the FM or Workplace manager
  • Acts to build a cohesive team in which all members are included
  • Ensures team members understand the purpose and importance of their work

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory position in a FM or related services environment
  • Have been responsible for up to 10 staff (direct/indirect)
  • Responsible for multiple services at site level including localised P&L responsibility
  • Good knowledge of Facilities Management SLA's/KPI's
  • Experience in dealing with suppliers/contractors/landlords
  • PC literate - Microsoft operating system and packages  
  • Good working knowledge and experience of social media platforms and communication tools
  • Good understanding of FM service contracts and negotiations
  • Strong communicator with confident oral and written skills
  • Strong customer service ethic, team player mind-set with ‘can do’ approach and willingness to ‘muck in’ when required
  • Ability to work to pressured deadlines and take on challenges when required
