Allen & York is delighted to be working with one of the leading consultancies who work with organisations and governments around the world to help them reduce their carbon footprint and move to a low carbon future.
As a highly respected and well renowned business, they're sitting in a strong position and in a continued period of growth, they are now looking to secure a Lead Consultant/Manager for Climate Risk and TCFD, to work closely with their clients who are predominantly FMCG companies.
You will be responsible for providing technical knowledge in climate change reporting, risk identification and mitigation and how it applies to the commercial setting with integrity and considered insight, with the support from the wider Team.
It goes without saying that you'll have a strong technical knowledge, combined with outstanding client facing, project management and team management skills as you'll be responsible for mentoring and managing team members. It's expected that at your level, you'll have had experience of identifying new opportunities and bringing new clients on board but a willingness to do this if not.
Working in an international context, you'll need to take a strategic approach to engaging with clients and growing the business within the non-finance sector related TCFD and climate risk projects, working closely with the green finance team. You'll also engage with the internal communications team to ensure the messaging is consistent, ambitious and managing any risks. So, lots of internal and external stakeholder engagement. Based in London, they operate a hybrid working model so you wouldn't need to be in the office all week however it is important that you can access the London office, especially as you will be leading a small Team.
