My client is looking for an exciting and passionate Consultant Ecologist with a bat licence to join their London office. My client is involved in a wide variety of projects from habitat and protected species surveys to BREEAM assessments and large scale infrastructure work such as HS2, as well as single dwelling projects.
Responsibilities of a Consultant Ecologist
Your responsibilities will include:
- Liaising with clients, other consultants and consultees
- Acquiring data from third parties
- Organising and supervising staff and subcontractors
- Preparing maps and writing and editing reports
- Office management
- Help with the marketing and promotion of the company
You will also be required to travel to successfully carry out contracts, including overnight stays and longer periods working away from home.
Who you are
- Have an appropriate degree
- 3 or more years' relevant work experience
- Strong knowledge of UK and EU opportunities
- Excellent report writing skills
- Experience of managing projects within time and financial constraints
- Able to lead surveys
- A full clean UK drivers licence
Desirable traits
- Be in possession or working towards a NE bat licence, and be experienced with bat surveys, activity transects and mitigation
- Experience with a range of bat detectors
- Experience writing ESPM licences
