Lead the Charge: Country Manager - Guinea
Location: Guinea / Sector: Environmental & Social Consulting (Mining & Resources)
Are you an entrepreneurial leader with a passion for responsible resource development? We are looking for a visionary Country Manager to lead and expand the operations of a world-class international consultancy within one of Africa's most significant mining jurisdictions.
This is a high-impact role for a senior professional ready to combine commercial success with meaningful environmental and social impact across Guinea and the wider West African region.
The Opportunity:
As the Country Manager, you will be the driving force behind our growth in Guinea. You will oversee an established presence, working closely with leading international mining companies to deliver sustainability solutions that move projects forward responsibly.
Your core mission will involve:
- Strategic Leadership: Developing and implementing a tailored Guinea strategy aligned with global objectives.
- Business Growth: Identifying new market opportunities, leading tender submissions, and expanding the brand's footprint in the Guinean mining sector.
- Stakeholder Mastery: Building trusted relationships with senior mining executives, government officials, and key partners.
- Operational Excellence: Overseeing financial performance, including budgeting and profitability, while ensuring all projects meet elite quality standards.
- Team Empowerment: Recruiting, mentoring, and leading a high-performing local team.
What You Bring to the Table
We are seeking a senior leader who combines deep technical knowledge with sharp commercial acumen.
- Bilingual Excellence: Fluency in both English and French is essential for success in this global consultancy environment.
- Proven Experience: Over 10 years in environmental or social consulting, with at least 8 years specifically in the mining and resources sector.
- Leadership Track Record: 5+ years of senior leadership experience with direct responsibility for strategy and financial performance.
- Regional Expertise: Strong experience supporting mining operations in Guinea or West Africa is critical.
- Education: A postgraduate degree in Environmental, Natural, or Social Sciences. An MBA or leadership qualification is a distinct advantage.
- Legal Standing: You must have the legal right to live and work in Guinea.
