To help deliver the necessary DCO consents for a major infrastructure project expansion by providing support to the EIA and other Technical planning strategies, supporting the scheme development and consultation processes, driving the production of all necessary DCO documentation and supporting the examination process.

Working as part of a wider integrated team, the role will include advising, supporting the technical work streams for carrying out the EIA coordinating and other assessments to ensure the planning and other DCO requirements are properly considered in formulating robust assessments and mitigation plans. Ensuring that assessments are communicated and delivered to specification on the major project in accordance with the agreed consenting strategy.?

Principle Role:

  • Support the preparation of the DCO application through the timely delivery of necessary documentation ensuring coordination of workstreams and client/consultant inputs.
  • Working with other DCO planning managers to manage and coordinate implementation and review of the consenting strategy for the respective areas of project scope, ensuring necessary integration between client and design teams in terms of delivering the appropriate level of design detail for both the consultation and submission stages of the DCO process.
  • Advice, support and assure the scheme development process, ensuring that workstreams collaborative effectively throughout the process and that due process is understood, followed, appropriately recorded and reviewed.
  • Work closely with the consultation workstream to ensure that consultation requirements are appropriately scoped and communicated, and that work streams provide timely delivery of consultation inputs and narrative.
  • Assist in the drafting of consultation material, attendance at consultation events and analysis of consultation responses to enable a feedback loop into scheme

Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant planning qualifications with strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Proven track record in delivering large scale infrastructure/development projects through the planning system
  • Experience of leading large multi-disciplinary teams
  • Proven track record in delivering large scale DCO infrastructure/development projects through the planning system
  • Experience of leading large multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience in airport planning and operations, and transport planning
  • Strong inter-personal, negotiating, influencing and presentation skills
