This unique and pivotal role is really diverse but will draw upon your commercial, account management, client facing and portfolio management skills. Your experience having worked in the financial sector as a broker or trader in the commodities sector would be a huge benefit as you'll be involved with the provision of carbon portfolio proposals, contributing towards market information and intelligence and working with the other teams in the business to come up with a strategy. Any exposure to contractual management will also put you in pole position. Numercially, you will be very strong with an analytical mind and a really strong commercial acumen, optimising financial returns. You'll also be able to draw on your experience of having identified new opportunities and seizing these. This is a role where you need to be able to hit the ground running so ambitious individuals who relish a challenge will be ideally suited.
Due to the level of seniority, you'll report to the CEO and CFO and as such you will have to balance both the level of responsibility and accountability. This will however be reflected in a competitive salary and package and you'll sit in on senior management meetings. You'll also be the face of the company at events where you can expand your network further.
In addition to this, your team management skills will be utilised as you'll have a small team so monitoring their workload, assisting with their development and growing the Team in line with a growing pipeline and the success of the business. You'll be joining an award winning team of experts who are renowned in the climate change sector!
You will have a knowledge and understanding of the carbon market (this is essential), but this could be from your educational background or a personal interest you have in the sector.
