Our client's brand and profile offers a fantastic platform from which to achieve real societal benefit and leveraging their heavyweight position to positive effect could be a career high.
Given the seniority of the post it goes without saying you'll have operated in a similar role in another corporate setting and you'll be an all round sustainability expert who's implemented carbon neutral sustainability strategies, bringing together piecemeal initiatives under one umbrella to create a coherent vision and to look at not only environmental elements but social and economic as well.
Your communication skills will be excellent and your ability to influence and persuade others will be essential as you communicate progress and successes both internally and externally to a range of stakeholders and crucially their customers, so you'll be aware of the mechanisms required to do this effectively as the representative for the dissemination of information.
You'll be adept at managing a number of projects at any one time and ensuring the tools are in place to measure key environmental data and in turn prepare sustainability reports off the back of this. You'll also produce a governance framework to support the various sustainability initiatives. In addition, your role will encompass the development of a comprehensive CSR programme including promoting diversity and inclusion.
You'll most likely hold a relevant first degree and most likely a second degree in a sustainability subject and you'll be seen as a thought leader in the sector.
This role is offered initially as a fixed term contract given the project nature of the role, the ultimate timetable is open to development after an initial 18 months. Location is flexible, however time spent in the Central London Head Office as part of this major corporate initiative will be essential.
So, if you are the person to help this fast moving and committed company achieve their ambitious target of becoming carbon neutral by 2025, call Katie on 01202 888986 ext 207.
