Job description
Allen & York are delighted to be working with a global technology company with a UK based Head Office as they look for an Environment & Sustainability Advisor to join their Team.
As an Environment & Sustainability Advisor, you'll be responsible for ensuring compliance with a range of legislations and policies across circular economy, EcoDesign, WEEE, packaging, REACH and RoHS. You'll also be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO 14001:2015 so will be adept at conducting internal audits and liaising with the regulatory bodies on these. An element of communication forms part of this role as you'll be responsible for influencing non sustainability professionals within the business and externally, but the former will not be an issue as there's a large appetite for environmental issues and they have a lot of initiatives in place already. There will be elements of environmental reporting as well, so analysing data and looking into implementing more sustainable products so it's a really broad and varied role.
Ideally you'll have experience working in the technology sector but another corporate organisation would work and if you're currently working in a consultancy environment but wish to move into the corporate sector, this could be a good opportunity to transition. What you will have is an environmental degree combined with membership of a relevant professional association such as IEMA and experience of implementing and environmental management system. You'll report into a highly experienced manager and working alongside a diverse team of sustainability professionals with space to collaborate, learn from each other and drive forward best practice and innovative ideas.
Based in the North West, with excellent transport links accessible by train or public transport, they are implementing a hybrid contract in the New Year so you'd work three days in the office and the remainder can be at home if you wish. A hugely responsible and respectful company to work for, they have implemented a number of measures to ensure employee's safety on site and they offer a competitive salary and attractive benefits package. In addition, they are committed to continued professional development so if you're keen to complete any courses that will contribute to your role, they're happy to offer these.
So, if you would like to join a global business who really care about their Team, which is backed up by the fact they have an excellent staff retention rate, contact Katie to find out more.
