Environmental Consultant - Compliance
Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an additional Consultant to join the Environment team. Working as a key member of the busy Compliance team, you will provide support to a suite of oil and gas permits.
You will use your recent experience of such permits, gained in consultancy, operator, regulator or statutory advisor, to support the project managers to deliver a range of permits under the numerous call-off contracts with UKCS oil and gas operators. Where your experience allows, you will be supported by the senior team members in the ownership of some of our smaller clients, developing an excellent relationship with clients.
Specific tasks within the role will include preparation of documents (including chemical risk assessments, environmental descriptions, environmental impact assessments) for a variety of permit types (including but not limited to: Drilling Permits, Pipeline Permits, Well Intervention Permits, Standalone Marine Survey Permits, Production Permits), working on the UK Energy portal, attendance at meetings and quality assurance. Where you have the skills and desire, short-term or part-time secondment into clients is an opportunity.
As time progresses, you would also be expected to develop an area of technical expertise within the compliance remit, and to begin building contact with relevant stakeholders to ensure that deliverables always meet evolving regulatory requirements.
There is a competitive package and flexibility in where you'll work; Location can include (Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London, Orkney and Southampton).
