Flood Risk Hydrologist
Due to continued growth my client has an opportunity for a Flood Risk Hydrologist. My client has an excellent reputation and this be a chance to join a growing team. Operating around the UK on some of the leading Hydrology projects. Ideally you will have:
5-10 years-experience, including employment with a reputable consultant
Environment Agency employment, or very good working knowledge of EA, NRW, SEPA and LLFA requirements
Good working knowledge of rainfall run-off methodologies (eg FEH, REFH)
Proven ability with industry standard 1D, 1D/2D linked and 2D modelling software, including:
- ISIS/Flood Modeller Pro
- TUFLOW
- HEC-RAS
- Micro Drainage
- GIS (QGIS)
Excellent report writing and oral communication
Excellent organisational skills
Commercially aware; working to deadlines and budgets
The position would suit someone who is self-motivated, looking for a new challenge and the opportunity to make the role their own. The successful candidate will be highly practical and able to produce both quantitative and qualitative flood risk assessments. Input to non-flood-related hydrological projects is also highly likely to be required.
