Allen & York are delighted to be partnering with an impact focused organisation who invest in a range of projects throughout Africa and Asia to create jobs and promote economic prosperity across a range of sectors and they're looking for a Gender Equality & Women's Economic Empowerment Executive for a fixed term period of 12 months.
Sitting within the Value Creation Strategies Team, you will be responsible for providing your expertise on gender equality and women's empowerment to advise fund managers and other key stakeholders on how they can improve their social and economic bottom line. This role is largely focused on projects within Africa but you'll be London based, working with the wider Team to educate and train them on gender smart investment principles and developing tools and materials for a range of stakeholders.
As such, you'll be experienced in working on gender issues within either the private sector or investment/private equity, your quantitative and qualitative research skills will be second to none, you'll most likely be working in the international development sector in a local setting so will be familiar with cultural senstitivies and you'll be able to design and implement technical assistance programmes. You'll also have excellent business, investment and sustainability acumen and be a strong communicator, from both an oral and written perspective.
In addition to this, you'll be knowledgeable on IFC Standards and ILO Conventions, you'll hold a strong degree (in social sciences, statistics or International Development) and will ideally hold a CFA or ACA qualification.
