Generator Engineer - Bristol

Due to continued growth there is a requirement for a Generator engineer to join our clients Bristol team.

As the Generator Technician you will deliver onsite engineering services to UK clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for you as a skilled Engineer with an eye for delivering high quality service to join an agile team at an exciting time of growth.

In this role you will be working with clients including MOD, BT, NHS, Police Forces, Prison Service, Fire Service and many Facilities Management companies.

You will be reporting into the South West Regional Manager, as the Generator Technician you will provide maintenance, installation, diagnosis, repair and testing services across a range of diesel generator sets, switchgear, control systems and associated equipment. This work will be carried out at client's premises or the client's sites.

In the role of Generator Technician, you will be tasked to carry out planned preventative maintenance, diagnostic, testing and remedial works on generators and associated equipment while providing call-out cover for generator breakdowns on a rota system

As the successful candidate you will have experience in Generator Engineering of at least 5 years, along with mechanical diagnostic experience with the ability to produce technical report writing with acute attention to detail.

You will be a natural problem solver with a pragmatic, methodical and practical approach. You will have excellent communication skills, able to build strong and lasting relationships with colleagues and clients. You work collectively to enhance team capability, sharing knowledge and mentoring others. You are an effective self-manager, driven to meet deadlines and exceed client expectations.

In order to be successful in this role you need to have the ability to obtain client clearances i.e: police, MOD, hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to work as part of an on call service sometime outside of standard working hours.
