GIS/Cartographic Consultant Needed in Wolverhampton or Bristol

Primarily working within the Modelling & Informatics team, you will bridge the gap across to the crop physiology/ protection, soil, policy & economics, sustainable food & farming and ecology teams within the business. You will, be part of a team who's expertise cover; digital data collection, remotely sensed data sourcing and utilisation, data management & analysis, mathematical modelling & tool building, GIS analysis & cartographic services and software development and programming.
Using your eye for high quality cartographic output and experience of using GIS software (ideally ESRI or QGIS) you will be able to demonstrate capability in the use of GIS software to produce high-quality cartographic outputs as well as for geospatial analysis and data management.
This is a great opportunity for you if you are keen to get involved in the whole project lifecycle from developing proposals in collaboration with colleagues through to delivering outputs or specific advice for a client. This role will also suit you if you are keen to develop business opportunities in specialist technical areas to expand the breadth of the GIS and cartographic offering within the business.
As a GIS/Cartographic Consultant you will be working with governments and their Agencies, utility companies, universities and innovation funders to identify, develop and implement practical solutions to support a wide range of environmental challenges for a wide range of end users. Examples of some of the common project themes you will be involved in include catchment management; precision farming applications; yield enhancement; resource use efficiency (e.g. nutrients and pesticides); land use and land use change; land management; ecology; planning constraints and environmental policy.
