Your role would involve high level strategy, developing and leading management programmes as well as a large focus on delivery. Reporting into the CEO and working with a team of managers and advisers, you will be challenged to provide a positive and progressive safety culture.
Your Responsibilities
- Ensure that the company achieves and maintains its ISO accreditations
- Developing strategic interventions to improve company wide performance
- Develop, implement and maintain management systems
- Provide hands on assistance to your team and your colleagues
- Responsible for organising internal and external audits
- Responsible for driving safety performance in line with current legislation
- Identify safety training needs across the company
- Create a positive and progressive safety culture
- Identify changes to legislation in advance and change processes accordingly
- Provide regular reports on all SHEQ issues
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
- Auditor qualifications for 18, 14 and 9001
- Full clean driving licence
- Experience of developing and implementing management systems
- Experience of managing SHEQ in a high risk chemical or engineering environment.
- Ability to be a hands on leader
- Knowledge of 14001 and environmental compliance
- Demonstrable experience of delivering world class safety performance
- Fully IT literate with advanced Excel skills
- Track record of delivering results
